Wanted to say that I am truly enjoying the site. Although new to the site I'm not new to fish keeping or Africans in general, having kept them some years ago. But after finally retiring from the Military and completing my last move, I've decided to do Africans again as my last tank setup was a SW FOWLR setup. My current setup is currently a mixed 55gal. I will be posting specifics shortly. Again I'm happy to be here

First off a big salute and thanks for serving our country. I truly appreciate anyone protecting our borders.

I used to have a 125 gallon FO SW set-up back in the day, and will say that IMO nothing will compare, but africans run a close second. Big benefit though of less time, equipment, and overall cost to maintain.

Welcome to the site, and congrats on retireing. 9 more years and I hit my 20, I know what you mean about the moves, seems like once you get your tank looking nice, TMO comes and hauls it off.

Thanks for the Welcome and you couldnt be more correct. It just so happens that on my last move, my tank stand was damaged!! But i didnt want to go through the claim process again, just wanted to be done with the process altogether that I ended up fixing it myself.

But I wish you all the best....the last years are the slowest!
