Hello all. New to the forum but have had my 46 gal bow front up and running for a little while. I started with a 25 gal (?) and about 7 months ago upgraded from that to something a bit larger.

To be honest my dilemma is i have NO idea what kinds of Africans i have OR the sex? is this common. Id like to know more about each of them. They do fascinate me. When i first started my small tank... i had 4 fish. They hated each other. there was one dominant fish who i named Jeffrey Domer... he insisted on killing everyone. It seems now that there are more fish per gallon and a larger tank with rocks etc for them to hide in, they are able to at least tolerate each other.

My parents got me into this. They have a 55 gallon tank at their house with south american Cichlids. Gorgeous tank... but i find them boring
