...why in the world (especially the world of African Cichlids) would you marquee a peacock that has German engineering?

Of all the African lakes you could pick from, that provide the hobby's signature species, you pick a unnatural specimen???

I keep this fish, but I would not....ever...show it as a sign for African cichlids. Sorry.
Mark
I guess we never really quite looked at it that way Bobby. We certainly appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Thanks

Bobby I imagine that part of it has to do with the quality of the photo and getting permission to use it. Might you have some good pics to contribute that could possibly be used in potential future banners?
Debbie
I think it looks great, but would still prefer a Tanganyikan there icon_mrgreen.gif

The image is very "eyecatching" and well done. I am not voicing an oppinion to get anyone to consider using one of my photos in its place. That's not my intention. Hopefully you all know me well enough that I don't try to get my images published...anywhere.

I just think you could find a good photo of a species that is natural to the lakes. Only because I feel that this is one of my favorite "African Cichlid" forums. love.gif

Well don't worry gang... both the top banner, and the homepage graphic are just temporary.
Matt's correct, they definitely match better than the last set LOL th_killingme.gif

The final design is still in the early stages.... but we're getting there icon_mrgreen.gif

With that said, we would love to see some pics... we need sharply focused, well lit pictures without reflective eyes or odd colors (blue backgrounds, even substrate) showing through finnage. So let's see some pics gang! wave.gif

Deb, you're right about the Tanganyikans... and we certainly couldn't go without a West African either happy.gif
