i was surfing around the net and searched for "cichlid forums". there were several that came up, but this one was on the first page. so i checked each of them out, and came back to this one and signed up. i was a member of another forum and was made to feel stupider then usual by one of the "mods" in a PM. so here i am, and i wont be going to any of th others gagin. "les" i promose to be faithful and true to you guys.

On my website I have a way of tracking where people come from when they visit my site. I was curious so I clicked on the link it gives me. I saw Kim's post and wanted to say TY.

Les saw me running around in my thong in the lounge and ask me if I would "entertain" his members!!! wave

When Les asked me to come here I thought this is going to be perfect. we both have had similar expierences on other forums and seeing how some pros treat people made us both sick. so when He said Mark and him were going to get this site up and running I was extremely happy. I know this place will be special you can already see the it with the people here.

I've already posted here, but wanted to say something else. One thing that is truly a pleasure about this place is the friendliness of the mods/team. I have been to other sites, where I felt like I was almost being scolded for not knowing something, or asking a question that was asked a few months ago. Just wanted to say thanks for making this a comfortable place to come. You guys are all doing a great job, and agree that this site will be one of the best once a little more time has passed.

I think that is what our admins set out for. a place where everyone is welcome, NO questons are considered "stupid" and a place where if your one of them pros and you like to talk down to people I don't think they will last last here.IMHO thumbs up

I arrived here thanks to Les...I guess he figured that this site needed a resident smart a$$ female from Canada here to light things up every now and then!! grin grin

hey "AF", i dont about the , but i'll bet you "light" up the room no matter where you are. i know from your pic in the members section, that is the best looking motorcycle i have ever seen. Oh-Yeah and just for the record, the admins/mods rock around this place. you guys make it worth spending time on here.

AF is one of the best people that I have come across in the hobby. She has a great sense of humor, a Husband who actually helps feeds the obsession, and pretty good stock list and knowledge base. I thought she could really add to the overall feel of the forum by adding a females point of view.

Likewise, I felt that by adding Debbie, we gained another great sense of humor, someone with extensive backround in everything from breeding Discus to Saltwater reef setups to Africans. Plus aside from being a great person she is an experience mod, bringing experience to a young forum.

The idea was to be able to see things from a female's perspective as so many of the forums are male dominated.
Both of these women do a great job! kisss
