As most of you know I have been debating on what I am going to put in my 80 gallon planted tank. Not to rehash the whole story but I lost all my wild caught green discus a couple of months ago. So far in the tank I have 2 blue rams, one large anglefish, 3 albino bushynose plecos, one royal panaque, one blue panaque, one L200, one longfin bushy nose, one L075. I have kept discus for over 25 years and I have decided to take a break, but would like to stick with South Americans, so after a bit of research I decided on Gymnogeophagus meridionalis 'Mataojo'. I ordered 3 females and males. I will move the rams and the angelfish since these fish are Uruguain and won't do well with the higher temps that the angels and rams like.

AWESOME DEBBIE
These guys look very pretty and I look forward to some pictures
The Gymnogeophagus meridionalis are closely related to my G. Rhabdotus, so I am especially interested in your experience with your new "family" members.
Congrats and good luck

Yes they are comming from New Jersey. They will arrive Friday...I am so psyched. That tank has been a bit understocked for some time...I must be aquiring patience in my old age, I never would have had an understocked tank a couple of years ago!
