Hey gang,

The site had been running slow and we had a lot of down time.

We thought it best to move the site to a more dependable server and Host.

During the transfer, we lost some threads and some posts. Mainly, the ones posted yesterday and a few from the day before.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that this move will resolve the server issues that we had previously encountered.

Thanks
Derek Forsyth

is there a way to retrieve the lost threads

I know Larry gave a post with lots of good advice that has gone missing out of the thread "Parameters and feeding"It is a shame to lose them

It would depend on when Mark did a backup.Perhalps he may have done more than one.Im just asking if it was possible banghead.gif

Derek,

While in the process of moving the files and data over to the new host and server, the old server started acting up again. We could not access the files needed to complete the transfer. A day or so later, we were able to access the ftp server and complete the transfer. The posts that were lost fall in between that time frame. To answer your question.....No, there is no way to retrieve the lost posts now. We would have been able to by starting all over when the ftp server was accessible again....but then we would be running the risk of not being able to access the server in mid-transfer again. This is why we made the decision to move servers, because of all the trouble the old server was having. Losing a few posts is much better than losing the whole site.

Thanks for the reply Mark!

And yes I agree a few posts lost are much better than 1000's !!I appreciate the explaination
